I am a senior at Minnesota State University Moorhead with a 3.3 GPA. This spring I will be finishing my mass communications major with an emphasis in integrated advertising and public relations with a minor in graphic communications. While enrolled at MSUM, I have made the Dean's List every semester.

I have experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as Apple's office suite, iWork. I create Excel functions to calculate media budgets and use PowerPoint and Keynote to build marketing presentations. I have been working with Photoshop since 2000 and in the past four years I have acquired extensive knowledge in the rest of the Adobe Collection through my work at Great Plains Integrated Marketing and my graphic communications classes at MSUM. I was a photo technician at a photo lab in Valley City, ND. I also took pictures for and produced Trinity Bible College's first interactive yearbook CD, as well as shot and produced their first football recruitment DVD. I originally learned to use Adobe PageMaker for design layouts. My skills in PageMaker transferred easily when Adobe introduced InDesign, which I used extensively while working DTP as an Impress associate at Office Max.

Over the past few years, not only my design and technical skills have been increased drastically, but also my social skills as well. I learned a great deal about conflict resolution and adapting well in the work environment from my job at SEI, a tech-support company which services business all over the country. I was employed as a POS technician. I spoke with owners, regional managers, and directors of operation in McDonalds stores across the nation. In any situation, I took action to solve the problem. If I could not solve the problem, I did what I could to meet the needs of everyone involved until the situation could be fixed.

In the spring of 2009, I took on new and unique responsibilities during the Red River flood in Fargo, ND. I was put in charge of creating a way to directly feed emergency updates to the public through our in-house radio studio which uses professional video equipment to stream video. I created The Flood Channel which used Ustream to feed video to a website we created called redriverflood.tv. I pulled RSS feeds to automatically display river levels and weather conditions throughout the day. We also kept hosts in the studio around the clock, announcing the latest news and taking phone calls. When I was not constantly updating our websites, I coordinated our journalism interns from NDSU to go out and cover the volunteer efforts, went to press conferences to feed the latest news to our radio station and even cover the flood from a black-hawk helicopter.

I am outgoing, responsible, and a team worker. I have great organizational skills and I am always up for a new challenge. In my free time, I enjoy learning new software and expanding my knowledge of desktop applications.
